St. Stephen's in the largest of the church with seating for nearly 200. It is
a stone mediaeval building rebuilt in mid Victorian times (1847), by Benjamin
Ferry the architect. It has a peal of six bells. The east windows and rose
windows above are very fine with intense vibrant colours. This is our most
popular church for weddings. the yew tree in the picture is over 400 years old.
Recently the entrance has been revamped to try to improve access.
In December 2001 we completed our
Millennium project of the provision of a
disabled toilet and kitchenette area for coffee
after the service (see photos below).
